Dr. Ayne Noor Akhter is a specialist general practitioner and she has been working in Darwin since

2015.

She completed her training in Northern Territory and was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Australian

College of General Practitioners. Ayne completed her primary medical education and qualifications

from a renowned medical college at Dhaka University, Bangladesh.

​

To pursue her special interests, Ayne has attained Certificate in Women's Health (RANZCOG), FPAA

National Certificate in Reproductive and Sexual Health as well as IUD insertion training. She also

holds Certificate in Skin cancer surgery.

​

As a General practitioner she enjoys all arenas and complexities of General practice.

She has special interests in Women’s health, Antenatal shared care, postnatal care, Paediatric

health, skin cancer checks and minor procedures, and preventative health care.

​

Dr Ayne values good doctor-patient relationships and continuity of care.

​

She is an accredited supervisor and looking forward to being a mentor with RACGP to train future

GPs in Australia.
